
Student-athletes, coaches, alumni, parents, sponsors, and friends raised more than $100,000 to augment budgets for expenses such as equipment, travel, and team development activities.
A joint collaboration between the Athletics Department and the Canton College Foundation, the campaign featured peer-topeer student challenges and team challenges, with men’s ice hockey taking the top spot by raising more than $50,000.
“The impact of these collective efforts will be felt for years to come,” said Director of Development Sara Hartman-Richards ’01. “Athletics Giving Week is one of the largest annual campaigns for the Canton College Foundation, and its continued growth is a testament to the generosity and dedication of our community.”
Hartman-Richards also thanked corporate sponsors St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, Howland Pump & Supply Co., North Country Savings Bank, Shipwreck’d Bar & Grill, Pepsi-Cola Ogdensburg Bottlers, and the Canton Knights of Columbus for their support.
“For the fifth straight year, we’ve been amazed at the incredible support for the SUNY Canton Athletics Giving Week,” said Athletics Director Randy B. Sieminski. “I’m particularly proud of the amazing generosity and support from our own student-athletes and their families supporting themselves and each other in order to maximize their college experiences.
