The class of 2028, with 172 aspiring physicians, along with their families and friends attended the White Coat Ceremony held on August 1 at Loma Linda University Church.

Before the students received their white coats, Aaron Saunders ’11, division chief of surgical oncology, welcomed the new students, reflecting on his own journey as a fourth-generation alumnus and faculty member. He shared the importance of respecting patient autonomy, maintaining work-life balance, and finding mentors while defining personal success. He encouraged the incoming class to reach out to him for support and guidance throughout their journey.
