Loma Linda University School of Medicine recommends Lance Brown, MD, MPH, to serve as chair of the department of emergency medicine. Brown, a professor of emergency medicine and pediatrics, joined the School of Medicine faculty in 2003 and currently serves as vice chair of the department of emergency medicine. Brown earned his medical degree and Master of Public Health from Harvard University in 1994. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at Los Angeles County+ USC Medical Center (now Los Angeles General Medical Center) and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Loma Linda University Health. He will succeed E. LEA WALTERS ’94, who has served as chair of the department since 2020.
