Loma Linda University School of Medicine’s first-year medical students and their family members spent the day together on campus in mid-February as part of the annual Family Day and Freshman Dedication.  It was an opportunity for parents, including some alumni parents, to visit the campus, attend lectures, and share the classroom experience, as well as tour the Simulation Center, Clinical Skills Education, and Anatomy Lab.

In addition, alumni parents of current students attended a dinner hosted by the Alumni Association and the School of Medicine.

The day concluded with the Freshman Dedication at the University Church, where each student received a Bible. The class then recited the Physician’s Oath, promising before God to carry on the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
