LLUSM News: Full Accreditation Through 2032

Loma Linda University School of Medicine (LLUSM) has received full, eight-year accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the accrediting body for medical education programs leading to the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

“Receiving full accreditation is a testament to the incredible work we do in training skilled and compassionate physicians who provide whole person care,” said Tamara L. Thomas ’87, dean of LLUSM.

Following a comprehensive self-study of its medical education, the LCME conducted a site visit in January 2024, and it awarded the renewed accreditation in June 2024.

LLUSM has maintained accreditation throughout its history and has been an LCME-accredited institution since the founding of the LCME in 1942.The next accreditation visit is scheduled for the 2031–2032 academic year.
