OR Mr Philip Jones (59) receives the Royal Maundy from HM The Queen
Philip Jones’ (59) shared with us:
I was honoured to be one of 4 RC recipients from within the Archdiocese of Birmingham to receive the Royal Maundy from HM The Queen acting on behalf of the HM King at Worcester Cathedral on Maundy Thursday the citation read” Philip has engaged in active ecumenical involvement on behalf of the RC Church in Worcestershire “ It was a marvellous occasion with great ceremonial and fabulous music and for me a completely unexpected honour and I was delighted to be joined by great friends Mrs Patricia Deeley wife of Peter Deeley’59 she was also a recipient for services of care to the retired and infirm Clergy of the Archdiocese.
There were 75 men and 75 women chosen throughout the UK to correspond with the Sovereign ‘s age’.
