Chair of Education Sub Committee

The Board of Trustees seeks to appoint an inspirational Governor to support the Governing Board as Chair of the Education Committee. Please note this position is voluntary.
The role of Chair of the Education Sub-Committee provides an ideal opportunity for a dynamic individual with a strong teaching record and appropriate experience of school leadership management to support the Governors, Headmaster and Senior Leadership Team in steering the College in the next stage of its development. We welcome expressions of interest from everyone but are particularly interested in those with experience in secondary education.
In terms of time, the minimum commitment would be attendance at four full Governor meetings a year in person, with additional support of one meeting per term Chairing the Education Sub Committee.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The Chair of the Education Committee is responsible for chairing the Education sub-committee once per term, including drawing up an appropriate agenda with the support of the Chair, Head and Senior Deputy Head. They are responsible for ensuring the Governors have adequate oversight of the organisation,delivery and monitoring of the academic programme in accordance with the Mission Statement of the College.
