Where to Give

The success of student-athletes at Washburn is directly connected to the support of alumni and friends. Your gift to the Ichabod Athletic Fund can provide for such things as academic resources to recruit premier student-athletes, renovations to athletic facilities to provide top-of-the-line training equipment and an environment where student-athletes can flourish, and the financial backing for outstanding leadership in coaches.

We are excited the Washburn University board of regents approved plans for what may be the most consequential single renovation in Washburn’s history: a major overhaul of Henderson Learning Resources Center to make it the academic nexus of campus that we need, and that our students and faculty deserve. The building will be renamed Advisors Excel Hall, thanks to a lead gift from Advisors Excel Co-Founders David Callanan and Cody Foster. Read more and learn how you can support this project.

Washburn Women’s Alliance provides scholarship assistance for single parents enrolled at Washburn. Preference is given to undergraduate, single parents (regardless of gender) with dependent children residing with them, who are properly enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours (two for-credit courses) at Washburn University. You can give today to the WWA general scholarship fund or create a named current gift scholarship or endowed scholarship.

WWVP is a giving circle comprising of Washburn alumnae and friends who volunteer their time and commit financial support to Washburn. WWVP members vote on and award grants annually to eligible projects and departments at Washburn.

The Mulvane Art Museum, located in the heart of Washburn’s campus, provides art education and art resources to the Topeka and surrounding areas. The museum has almost 3,000 objects in its permanent collection, a variety of changing exhibits and numerous public programs that are available to the public. Join Friends of the Mulvane and help support their programming while getting their newsletter, advance notice of events and free admission to the Mulvane Art Fair.

Washburn is the proud home of Sunflower Music Festival each year. Each June, the festival offers orchestra concerts, chamber music evenings, educational projects and other artistic events to individuals from Topeka and area communities. Concerts are offered to the public free of charge thanks to generous donations made by area businesses and private donors.

KTWU is a non-commercial, public television station authorized by the Federal Communications Commission, Washington, D.C., and licensed to Washburn University of Topeka. KTWU commenced telecasting on Oct. 21, 1965, as the first public television station in Kansas. The programs that KTWU carries are broadcast on channel 11, Topeka, Kansas and on K30AL, channel 30, Iola, Kansas. KTWU's broadcast facilities are owned and operated by Washburn University of Topeka.
