Sip into Summer with Transy
Thursday June 11, 2026
Join us for a relaxing summer evening at Ghost Fox Winery, owned by Mallory Harlow Morris ’09 and Josh Morris ’09. Reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy the beautiful vineyard setting. $20 per person includes tasting three signature wines and a delicious charcuterie spread. If you haven’t been to Ghost Fox yet, the owners will give a tour at 6.45 p.m.

The @transylvaniauniversity Class of 1976 and fellow members of the Robert Barr Society participated in today’s Commencement of the Class of 2026! The Golden March is a new tradition for Transy and we were thrilled to be able to start it in front of Old Morrison. Congratulations, Class of 2026—welcome to the alumni family!

Senior Spotlight: Alex O’Connor
Alex has worked in our office as a Work Study student all four of her years at Transy. We are going to miss her! She has done so much for our office, and we know she will do so many amazing things!
Alex is a Health and Exercise Science major with a minor in psychology. She was part of the volleyball team, Phi Mu, the VP of Omicron Delta Kappa, the VP of Alumni Relations for the Student Alumni Association, the Pre-Health and Pre-PT clubs, Psi Chi, Order of Omega, and Alpha Lambda Delta. After graduation, she is taking a gap year and working in Louisville!

Simon and Ben both worked in our office this year as Philanthropy Ambassadors! Simon has worked here all 4 years, and Ben joined us his senior year. We are sad to see them go, but are so happy to have had them and can’t wait to see all they accomplish post-grad.
Simon is a double major in Classics and History, who served as the president of the Student Alumni Association, president of Sodalitas (Classics Club), vice president of the Transylvania Martial Arts club, a cellist for the Chamber Orchestra & Jazz Ensemble, a debater on the Speech and Debate Team, and a member of Interfaith Alliance. He worked for two years as a technical crew member at the Mitchell Fine Arts Center and one year as a Latin & History tutor at the ACE. After graduating, Simon will be off to the University of Oregon to complete a master’s in Classics supported by a graduate assistantship!
Ben is a triple major in Writing Rhetoric and Communication (WRC), Music Technology, and Music Performance. He was part of the jazz ensemble, guitar ensemble, and on the forensics team. He plans to do a small tour with his band over the summer!

We hosted a Senior Challenge Happy Hour at @oldnorthbar (owned by Transy grad Wes Hogan `97), and Student Life is hosting a senior night at @PKL!
As part of their Senior Challenge, the class is raising money to replace some outdoor furniture on campus. Seniors, you can contribute towards the goal of $2,026 at the link in our bio!
